Greeters are the first faces people see when they walk into church. They offer a warm welcome, answer questions, and share announcements—especially about events happening after Mass. Greeters help create a sense of belonging and make each parishioner and visitor feel like part of the St. Peter’s family.
This ministry involves preparing the church for Masses and feast days. Volunteers may help decorate the sanctuary or serve as sacristans. Sacristans are responsible for setting up the church before Mass—unlocking doors, lighting candles, setting out vestments, vessels, and liturgical books—and cleaning up after. It’s a vital behind-the-scenes role that supports the dignity and order of the liturgy.
This team cares for the sacred linens used during Mass, ensuring they are clean and respectfully handled. Volunteers may also help with maintaining the cleanliness of the sacred vessels and sanctuary. This humble yet sacred task supports the reverence of the Eucharistic celebration.
