Greeters are the first faces people see when they walk into church. They offer a warm welcome, answer questions, and share announcements—especially about events happening after Mass. Greeters help create a sense of belonging and make each parishioner and visitor feel like part of the St. Peter’s family.

This ministry involves preparing the church for Masses and feast days. Volunteers may help decorate the sanctuary or serve as sacristans. Sacristans are responsible for setting up the church before Mass—unlocking doors, lighting candles, setting out vestments, vessels, and liturgical books—and cleaning up after. It’s a vital behind-the-scenes role that supports the dignity and order of the liturgy.

This team cares for the sacred linens used during Mass, ensuring they are clean and respectfully handled. Volunteers may also help with maintaining the cleanliness of the sacred vessels and sanctuary. This humble yet sacred task supports the reverence of the Eucharistic celebration.

Volunteers in this ministry help maintain the beauty of our church by arranging and caring for altar flowers. This includes ordering and placing floral arrangements, maintaining ongoing displays, and storing vases and materials appropriately. Their efforts enhance the worship space and reflect the joy of the liturgical seasons.

This role assists the Facilities Manager with light maintenance, event setup, and facility checks for the church, rectory, and parish hall. Ideal for those who are handy or enjoy working on projects that support parish life. Duties vary based on current needs and personal skillset.

These ministers assist the priest and deacons in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass. It is a sacred responsibility and requires diocesan-approved training. This ministry offers a profound way to participate in the liturgy and serve fellow parishioners.

Lectors proclaim the Word of God at Mass through Scripture readings. This role calls for a reverent heart, a strong voice, and preparation through brief training. Lectors help bring Scripture to life and invite the assembly to deeper reflection.

Altar Servers assist the priest and deacon during Mass by carrying the cross, holding the book, and preparing the altar. Their presence supports the smooth flow of the liturgy and enriches the prayerful atmosphere of the Mass.
