Young children are introduced to God’s love, prayer, and basic teachings of the Catholic Church through stories, songs, and hands-on activities. These years lay the foundation for future sacramental preparation.

This is the primary year for preparing to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Children learn about forgiveness, the Eucharist, and Christ’s presence in the Mass. Regular attendance and parent participation are essential.

For students who did not complete First Communion in 2nd grade, this class continues sacramental preparation. Focus is placed on the meaning of the Eucharist, the structure of the Mass, and living a life of grace through the sacraments.

Students who have received First Communion continue their religious education with a focus on Scripture, the liturgical year, lives of the saints, and applying faith to daily life. These years strengthen Catholic identity and encourage personal prayer.

This is the first year of Confirmation preparation. Students begin to explore the gifts of the Holy Spirit, Church teachings, and what it means to be a disciple of Christ in today’s world.

The second year of preparation culminates in receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. Students deepen their understanding of the Holy Spirit, participate in service, and take ownership of their faith as young adults in the Church.

This program is for children and teens who have not been baptized or have missed one or more sacraments appropriate to their age. Instruction is adapted to meet each student’s spiritual and developmental needs, preparing them to receive multiple sacraments.

Formerly known as RCIA, this program welcomes adults into full communion with the Catholic Church. Whether you are unbaptized, baptized in another Christian tradition, or simply seeking to complete your sacraments, OCIA provides the formation needed to receive Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
